COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH & FIELDWORK
The Call for Collective Documentation
The SISNUNGTHAI operates on the principle of birthing of digital knowledge through collective transformation. We invite students, scholars, and community elders to contribute to our growing repository of indigenous lingusitics and oral histories.
Areas of Engagement
We are currently seeking collaborators for the following archival divisions:
Linguistic Transcription: Converting oral recordings into the standardised Kau-Bru orthography.
Folk Bank Curation: Identifying and documenting traditional tales, songs, and riddles from village elders.
Lexicographical Assistance: Researching the etymology of rare Bru terms to expand our digital lexicon.
Digital Humanities Support: Assisting in the maintenance of this repository and its machine translation protocols.
Collaborator Guidelines
All contributors will be formally acknowledged as Research Associates or Field Contributors in the relevant sections of the site. We adhere to strict ethical standards regarding the intellectual property of indigenous storytellers.
